Note to self

I am writing over four months after my "hello world" post. This delay is not because I had nothing to write about. Neither is the case that I did not have enough time.

The reason for the no-show is the fact that I publicized my blog amongst my friends. For every topic that I thought of writing about, all I could think of was whether those of my friends following my blog would find it interesting. I even considered writing things like my reasons for disliking 3 Idiots, as it would generate interesting comments and discussions. As much as I would love to do it, that is not what I want to say.

So here's to not writing for an audience. This blog is going to be an assortment of  highly political and philosophical prose: what a friend of mine contemptuously calls "intellectual" stuff (complete with air quotes). Those who did not expect this do not know me at all.

Writing this post has been strangely relieving. I feel free to write about anything that I want to say. Those who are bored or uninterested are welcome not to read.

So the next post is on its way, which shall be my first "content" post.
